PatGeo is my personal rendition of NatGeo. My passion for wildlife is beyond measure. My love for wildlife photography was revealed in 2012 while attending a Bald Eagle Festival in Maryland. From that moment forward, I became enamored with the Bald Eagle and obsessed with the need to photograph them God’s incredible creatures.
As a matter of fact, I believe that some of them love to be photographed. If you look closely, notice how many of them seem to be looking back at you with their beautiful eyes. They were camera ready and happy to strike a pose!
I’m not one to brag or boast, so I will give God all the credit for may of these captures because God knows I had no idea what I was doing. However, I do believe he blessed me with an eye for photography. It’s a feeling I get…peaceful, no stress when I’m out in the field.
Initially, learning about aperture, shutter speed, ISO, white balance, and f-stops was mind boggling, but there is a method to my madness. I am determined to shoot in “Manual” mode. Otherwise, why own a DSLR camera, right?
I am now the proud owner of two Nikon DSLRs (D4 and D90) and ready to get out of hobby mode. Perhaps I will take photography and Photoshop classes in the near future or find a few good photog friends who don’t mind sharing a few secrets. However, until that happens, I will continue to share my captures on this site so that you can experience nature’s beautiful landscapes and get a sneak peek into the personalities of God’s amazing wildlife. And yes, that includes my Cairn Terrier, Blu ( a blonde version of Toto), because God knows he is truly wild! After all, he is a Terrier!
